acute adrenal crisis
Acute adrenal crisis is recognizable by its typical symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. Unfortunately, the delay between the apparition of these symptoms and the administration of emergency treatment is the principal cause of death.
Nearly 600,000 people in Europe and the United States are susceptible to acute adrenal crises (1).
These latter however, due to a lack of simple and rapid treatment solutions, sometimes do not benefit from correct management and thus become fatal for 0.5% of acute adrenal crisis victims (2).
